About me

HAMLET: To be, or not to be--that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them. To die, to sleep--
No more--and by a sleep to say we end
The heartache, and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to. 'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep--
To sleep--perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub,
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause. There's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th' oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th' unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovered country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprise of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action. -- Soft you now,
The fair Ophelia! -- Nymph, in thy orisons
Be all my sins remembered.

Archaeological Dig

Findings: Bominareo

Plungus

TinkaciuelaStory:

Our alchaeological dig took place in North-West Africa, in a country named Algeria. We escavated a small region where there were rumours that some tools from 1600 BC could be found. In our search we found three items lying closely together: a Bominareo, a Plungus, and a Tinkaciuela.

These items were found in a space of 26.5 cm by 14.5 cm, therefore within an area of 3.84 metres. We believe the items were part of an early art kit.

The first item uncovered was the Bominareo. It looked curved and was made out of rock. This may have been used by the artist to pinpoint his subject matter for his artwork. It may also have been part of an old palat to hold paint just like those we use in art today, but of course through a much more crude style. The Bominareo may have also of been used to crush plants and herbs in order to make a paste to paint with or it may even me what they used to paint with.

The second item that was discovered was the Plungus. It is of a cylinder shape and made of a sturdy but breathable medium, perhaps wood. There are dips running through out this which may have been filled with a medium and then sprinkled on cave walls in order to make small patterns, although this seems hard to believe because it is quite advanced for that time period. This finding may also have been used to soak up the substance they used to make their artwork, and then it could be left out to dry for a few days atleast until the next time it was needed. The artist may have put in some type of medium and then blew it threw the Plungus to make some neat designs of texture or detail in the works of art.

The third item discovered was the Tinkaciuela. It is oddly shaped, long with a circular end that has an opening inside. Its suspected that it was used to carve the utensil in which they painted with. It may also have been used to scrape colors off of plants in which they could use to make their pictures. It may also have been used to mold statues or even to shape rocks into the animals that they saw.
